March Patreon Episode: The Guy Turcotte Killings

Guy Turcotte was a cardiologist and father in Quebec, Canada and had a seemingly happy life. But after he learned that his friend and personal trainer was having an affair with his wife Isabelle, he started to spiral. On February 21st, 2009, officers arrived at his house for a welfare check after his mother was concerned about him. Inside Turcotte’s home were the bodies of his two young children: 5 year old Olivie and 3 year old Anne-Sophie. Turcotte claimed he was mentally ill and did not remember killing his children, and after first being found not criminally responsible, he was found guilty of second degree murder and was sentenced to life in prison. But he will still one day likely be released - while his children never got to live their lives.
