Episode 223: The Disappearance of Cheryl Ann Scherer

Nineteen year old Cheryl Anne Scherer went missing from the Rhodes Pump-Ur-Own-Service Station in Scott City Missouri on April 17, 1979. An off-duty attendant who was at the service station described seeing Cheryl there working around 11:30 am. The attendant left and when she returned, Cheryl had vanished. Cheryl's car was still parked outside and her purse had also been left behind the service station counter. Soon it was discovered that $480 was missing from the cash register. To this day, Cheryl's case remains unsolved. Is she still alive or did someone do the unthinkable? Investigators continue to work on Cheryl's case and hopefully one day soon Cheryl and her family will get some answers and have closure.
