In 2010, investigators working on the Grim Sleeper cold case were searching California’s DNA database as DNA had been collected from felons over the prior 6 years. They were trying to match DNA left at the crime scenes in the 1980s, but unfortunately, they found no match. But then, they decided to search the database for any familial connections to the DNA found at the crime scenes… and they found a match. This is the story of the horrific serial killer known as the Grim Sleeper.
