Episode 379: Alcatraz
Alcatraz was the home to some of America’s most notorious criminals including Al Capone and George “Machine Gun” Kelly Barnes, but in 1962, three inmates attempted to escape, and to this day, their results remain unknown. Today we are going to deep dive into everything Alcatraz: the history and how it became one of the most infamous prisons in America, the living and working conditions of the prison, some of the notorious prisoners who were housed there, the escape attempts, and the ghosts that are said to haunt the halls of the now-closed prison today.
