Elizabeth Short was a beautiful, 22 year old young aspiring actress living in Los Angeles, California when she was brutally murdered and mutilated. Due to the nature of the details in her case, her story became sensationalized. Eventually she was dubbed by the media the Black Dahlia as a result.
